So I was reading this article about Downton Abbey’s Christmas Special and Matthew’s death when a wild comment appears in the comment box:
At the end of Downton Abbey’s last episode I was really expecting to hear Joey Tribbianni’s voice saying “these really are the days of our lives”
Fellowes, congrats. You have achieved new levels of absurdity.
I wish Matthew had stayed as he was in the first episode of the series. I loved him so much when he was all “they will not change me”.

Stannis looked around. No one was coming so he simply manovered her into the bedroom and sat her on the bed. He searched his pockets for a handkerchief. “Take it” He said as softly as he could, keeping the scowl away from his face. How he did find himself into this situation was still beyond his comprehension. He closed the door and stared at her knowing it was her turn so say something.

Mary wisely locked herself in her room claiming to be too tired to attend dinner. The events of the day had taken its toll on her – and on her foot – and even Dr. Clarkson had recommended rest. Anna brought her tea and then a light meal and every time remarked upon the quietness of her mistress.
And I’m like, “I’M TRYING MOM.”
Can’t I marry someone like Stannis? At least he’s not boring. (I’m trying mom!)

Stannis had started to wonder when it would be proper for him to retire to his bedchamber when Edith approached him with a glass. “It’s ice tea. I know you don’t drink”. She said quietly and he took it surprised at the gesture “I find it quite refreshing on these summer nights”
This is turning out to be the worst xmas ever, we have the fiscal cliff, Tony Blair is still alive,and now Matthew killed in a car crash, its all too much for me, I am just going to take some of these pills and watch Eastenders,a story about everyday black people who are forced to live in London because of this coalition.
